Creating Post-Traumatic Growth:
Healing From Your Triggers

Issue #236
Hey there!
The mind makes connections and associations to help us learn and grow from our experiences. But what if our mind's management of memory connects and associates traumas from our past with triggering events from our present?
Suddenly, we feel sucked into reliving our past traumas that exponentially magnify the pain and suffering from our current experience. These experiences feel as if they're all happening at the same time, overwhelming us, and causing us to overreact to the current situation.
Everyone has experienced this problem before and understand how damaging it can be when we get lost in our post-traumatic stress response.
The solution is not to bury the past or even put it to sleep, but to transform these painful experiences into opportunities for personal growth. Can this be facilitated through energy work?
I created a new story using the Infinite Intention Technique Story Form to help with this specific problem. Not only did the approach cause a positive shift for my patients, their experiences were profoundly powerful and transformative (and similar!)

Have a terrific week!
Creating Post-Traumatic Growth Healing From Your Triggers
After using the Infinite Intention Technique: Story Form to help transform old traumatic triggers to positive experiences, I asked two patients to describe their experiences. One patient reported:
"At the beginning of the Infinite Intention Technique Story Form, Dr. Lee led me through a visualization that transformed sink holes into fruiting and flowering trees. This symbolized being sucked into sinkholes of past traumas transforming into experiences that I could draw upon to nurture myself and share with others. Deep into it, I cried because it was so beautiful to watch the sinkholes of my traumas transform into fruit trees.
After the energy work I felt tired but in a good way. That night, I woke up around 3 am, felt thirsty, and drank two full glasses of water. I woke up the next morning feeling dizzy, nauseous, and needing to go to the bathroom. Strong energy coursed through my chest and arms. I think the energy work was helping me to release energy trapped in past traumas which resulted in a powerful detox.
My body needed to purge itself of a lot of toxins for the next three days (I had frequent bowel movements which were unusual for me), most of it happening that morning over 4-5 hours. My appetite was low during this time. I found it helpful to put my bare feet in the grass and ground myself. When I felt better, I noticed a number of positive things. Even after not eating much for 2 days, my body felt stronger. I could lift more weight and dance more vigorously than I have in years. I didn’t get bitten by mosquitos as I normally would. And my mind felt incredibly clear. I can track tasks at work with much less effort. Packing for trips had overwhelmed me in the past, but after this session, I was much calmer when packing for a camping trip."

Given how powerfully she detoxified after the energy work, I decided to refine the technique to limit the amount and number of traumas to transform when using this technique. Another patient reported:
"During the IIT Story Form visualizing the spinning, sucking holes that represented past traumas, I felt waves of energy flowing from the top of my head going down through my limbs. I also felt intense dizziness towards the end of the visualization. It lasted for a couple of hours afterwards, and progressively got better over that time.
Afterward, I noticed a lot of purging that lasted for over a week. I was having normal bowel movements about 2-3 times per day without any changes to my diet, which was highly unusual for me. I used this visualization to help me heal from intense anxiety about what others thought of me, past adolescent suffering, and feeling misunderstood.
Over the next week, new ideas that continued to support my healing process presented themselves seemingly out of the blue. I also had a few experiences where I felt seen and understood by people important to me and was able to distance myself from worrying about what others thought of me.”

Clearly, these two patients experienced similar detoxification effects from doing this technique and immediate benefits that came from the healing process. I hope you'll give it a try and that it will be helpful for you as well.
See below for the YouTube and podcast versions of this approach. I hope you'll give it a try and let me know how it worked for you.
Take good care of yourself!

Infinite Intention Technique: Story Form
Healing from Past Traumatic Triggers
Have you ever been triggered by an experience or even a bit of stimuli associated with past trauma(s) such that the same suffering from the past adds to the suffering in the present? Who hasn’t, right?
Everyone’s mind is built to associate the current experience with all of our past related experiences. But what if those past experiences are so debilitating and overwhelming that it crushes our ability to respond rationally?
In this session, I share the use of Infinite Intention Technique Story Form to help us heal from being triggered by past traumas.
Story Form is the most difficult level of Infinite Intention Technique to do because it involves so much creativity and imagination. But it is also one of the most powerful energy techniques I know.
Today’s focus is to help us heal from being triggered by past trauma(s) by transforming past trauma(s) into a growth promoting experience(s). Using story, symbolism, imagination, visualization, intention, and Life Energy, we try to connect the conscious and subconscious minds to transform through Life Energy. Let’s give it a try!
I hope you'll find this healing approach helpful!
