It's starting to feel like spring here in Lehi, Utah! I hope you've been getting warmer weather where you are as well.
I've been finishing up my presentation for the Energy Healing Conference in Logan, Utah on April 2, 2022! It will be held at Ridgeline High School.
The presentation is called, Take It Off—But Don't Just Do It Slowly, and will present my work on medication withdrawal as a holistic and integrative psychiatrist. It'll be available online (virtual) or in person, so I hope you'll join me for the presentation. See below for some free tickets!
In case you haven't had a chance to check it out, this week's podcast and YouTube video is called: Let’s Talk About Burnout in the Workplace with Rachel Druckenmiller
I really enjoyed talking with Rachel about her experiences with burnout and learning about how to prevent or handle burnout better.
For today's article, though, I want to give you a preliminary peek at my presentation and its funny style and content.
I'm so excited to announce that I will be presenting at the 2022 Energy Healing Conference in Logan, UT on April 2, 2022!

Take It Off—But Don't Just Do It Slowly
Presentation for the Energy Healing Conference
April 2, 2022
Since last year, Karan Tumasz, intuitive and mystic, has been telling me that I will be presenting at conferences (like this April) to a large group of people. She expressed surprise when I spoke with her on March 1st and said that I hadn't heard back from the conference that I applied for in January.
Later, I realized that the conference's board consisted of clinicians who love functional lab testing and biochemical interventions and wouldn't be open to energy medicine and lab-free testing, so it made sense that they didn't respond back to my application.
However, on March 4th, I saw some energy healing conferences happening in Utah that sparked my curiosity. It turns out that Utah regularly conducts some of the largest energy healing conferences in the US! I filled out an application and within a couple of days got a response from the producer of the conference, Tammy Anderson Ward, who wanted to give me an opportunity to present on April 2nd.
That gave me less than a month to put everything together. Usually, I would procrastinate for about six months and then do the presentation at the last minute, but this time it was the last minute! But, hey, I had already thought about what and how I wanted to present for the otherconference, so after just a couple of weeks of procrastination, I put together the presentation.
Here's my first slide:
Almost all the slides have a funny cartoon, mostly from The New Yorker. My favorite cartoon is this one:
I must have seen hundreds of cartoons over the past few days just to pick out the ones that went with each slide. I discovered that it's a lot harder to find appropriate cartoons for slides than pictures of real objects, but I was able to create a presentation that's funny, surprising, hopeful, and innovative.
It's a wonderful way to commemorate my 20th year of being a holistic psychiatrist. Wow, thinking back, I sure needed to learn a lot more when I first started. I'm glad I've grown past that stage. Hope you'll come and see the presentation!
Have a great week, and please share my Holistic Updates, podcasts, and YouTube videos with whoever may benefit from them. Thanks!
