Applying energy techniques is like driving a car. A car has a steering wheel, gas pedal, brakes, windows, and mirrors. It'll take you from A to B if you know how to use it properly.
Concerning energy techniques, these parts of a car translate into intention, focus, connection to an energy source, blockages, and insights. Using these aspects of energy healing techniques appropriately will allow you to go from A to B with concrete outcomes.
Today's Holistic Update focuses on the problem of overdosing energy interventions and trying to go too far too fast.
How does this happen? What occurs when too much energy is applied? Finally, how can this problem be avoided?
Read on for answers to these important questions!

Energy Techniques: Critical Decisions on Dosing
Understanding and avoiding healing crises
Today's update is based on 20 years of clinical, empirical experiences working with patients. These experiences reveal patterns and teach me how to use the mind to control energy more judiciously.
In the past, I did not understand the importance of dosing energy interventions, and I would try to do "my best" using visualization and sending Life Energy to help people heal. Sometimes, in my enthusiasm to send as much energy as possible, I accidentally overdid it.
In one session, a very weak and debilitated young man felt so energized by the intervention, which involved sending Life Energy to him at a distance, that he did several push-ups immediately after the energy work. This led to rhabdomyolysis, the breakdown of his muscle cells, which endangered his health.
There were times when patients experienced a "healing crisis" right after energy work, with an increase in psychiatric symptoms such as anxiety and derealization. Although these symptoms usually resolve in three days, it was disheartening and stressful when they occurred.
In a way, a "healing crisis" may be a euphemism for describing physical incapacity: the lack of ability of the physical body to appropriately use or follow through with the newly integrated energy, intervention, or intention. Like an electric circuit that uses capacitors to store energy, human beings have different capacities for carrying energy.
Prolonged toxicity, nutritional deficiency, traumas, and insufficient enzymes are just a few blockages to implementing energy healing techniques. A healing crisis can happen with visualizations/ intentions sent at a distance, homeopathy, meditation, acupuncture, herbals, supplements, and psychotherapy.
So, any sort of "excessive" shift or addition of energy may cause it. During the crisis, the person will usually experience an increase in severity/symptoms associated with their mental and physical illness.
There is a direct correlation between intention used in energy techniques (e.g. Empower Energy Technique and Infinite Intention Technique) and shifts in the physical body. The more intense the energy and numerous the intentions, the greater the physical and molecular transformations/shifts demanded of the physical body.
Just as in driving, we need to assess the condition of the vehicle (the patient's physical and mental state) before applying energy and intentions to move it along its healing path.
For example, if the vehicle has a weak battery, little gas, a leaky oil tank, and unreliable brakes, overdosing energy interventions may cause more distress than progress. You wouldn't want to go 90 mph in a car that starts shuddering at 30 mph.
Here are some ways to carefully apply energy interventions to suit the person's debilitated state:
Begin with a careful history to assess the level of debility and trauma. Determine the patient's resilience and comfort with change.
Start with Energy Breaths once or twice per day for a week to two weeks before using EET or Infinite Intention Techniques. Energy Breaths are easily tolerated and increase the person's energy like charging a battery.
Add nutritional and antioxidant support for greater ease with physical healing when applying energy techniques.
Start with a list of just one or two problems at a time when using EET. Observe how the healing process proceeds over the next few days. If tolerated, one can increase the number of problems per session incrementally.
Initially work on problems in the present that are circumscribed and more limited in intensity and scope. Trying to heal core issues from the past often results in larger transformations both psychologically and physically. Take small bites rather than swallow the whole problem at once.
Start with healing the process rather than the content. Begin by healing the hows rather than the whats. For example, begin by healing the patient's reversals on deserving to be well and needing to suffer.
I hope these suggestions will help you to enjoy the energy healing process and avoid overdoing a good thing.
Have an awesome week!
